How to train your dragon: The hidden world

HTTYD: The Hidden World sets the bar high for CGI and delights in a new story with kids who have grown up.

What began as an unlikely friendship between an adolescent Viking and a fearsome Night Fury dragon has become an epic trilogy spanning their lives. In this next chapter, Hiccup and Toothless will finally discover their true destinies: the village chief as ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, and the dragon as leader of his own kind. As both ascend, the darkest threat they’ve yet faced—as well as the appearance of a female Night Fury—will test the bonds of their relationship like never before.

My family and I were huge fans of the original HTTYD. Everything in it worked well and flowed together. The CGI was incredible and at that time the initial flight together of Hiccup and Night Fury was one of the most spectacular things I have seen on the big screen.

The hidden world continues in the same vein and in a couple of areas ups the ante. Our story has grown and evolved over the years as the characters have grown up and are facing a new challenge.

What made the first film and now this one so great was that at the heart of this visually amazing film is a great human story. Hiccup must carry the mantle left to him by his father, learning fro his past, while striking out in a new direction in the present.

If you are a fan of the original, or a sucker for a good heart-felt story you won't want to miss HTTYD: The Hidden World, an instant classic.
